LB 701 also created a grant program, managed by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, to
be
utilized for vegetation management programs designed to improve streamflow. This press release outlines the four projects that
have been awarded grants under this new program. The legislation charges the Nebraska Game
and Parks Commission with assisting grant recipients in implementing their projects. For more
information about this program, please contact Mitch Coffin at 402-471-6844.
